SPOTLIGHT ON TIMPERLEY: METROPOLITAN LIVING IN THE HEART OF CHESHIRE

This year will see the completion of our new build development of five, four bedroom three storey townhouses in Timperley, Altrincham. For all those visitors to our website contemplating a move to Timperley we thought it might be helpful to provide a breakdown of some of the benefits to this area as endorsed by local estate agents, the Manchester Evening News and Cheshire Life magazine.

Emerging Area – unlike neighbouring areas such as Altrincham town centre, Hale and Bowdon, which have reached something of a saturation point in terms of market values in the past few years, Timperley has enjoyed a healthy increase in its house prices and an influx of affordable new build homes. With local estate agents indicating prices are set to rise in Timperley over the next couple of years, now is an ideal time to invest in the area. Due to its growing popularity Timperley Village is benefitting from increased investment but continues to balance trendy bars and restaurants such as Garden & Grain and Costa Coffee with traditional bakeries, butchers and florists.

Good Access to Altrincham town centre – the area has undergone substantial regeneration in recent years with the widely lauded Altrincham Market spearheading a renaissance, which has led to an influx of trendy boutiques, celebrated bars and restaurants and mainstream retailers. The Everyman Cinema, Altrincham Ice Rink and Garrick Theatre are also popular weekend destinations. Although the area has become more metropolitan in recent years it still retains a strong community feel making it popular with people of all ages.

Excellent Transport Links – Timperley benefits from outstanding transport links with the M56, M6, M60 and M62 within easy access. Brook Gardens is just over a 5 minute walk to both the Navigation Road and Timperley Metrolink stops, which connect directly to Manchester City Centre. A number of bus routes also run regular services through Timperley: The 263 and 41 will take you to Manchester city centre whilst the 11 and 11a both run to Stockport. Local supermarkets are located in close proximity to the development with both Manchester Airport and Wythenshawe Hospital only a short 10 minute car drive away.

Access to some of the UK’s best performing schools – competition for places in schools local to the Timperley area is fierce and is perhaps a key reason for some families making the move to the area. Timperley and Altrincham boast some of the region’s top performing primary and secondary schools (both state and private). Notable mentions include Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, Loreto Grammar School for Girls and St Ambrose College.

Outdoor Activities – The nearby Dunham Massey Park is a highly regarded local attraction with strong heritage value and excellent walks whilst the leafy Cheshire countryside offers opportunities for a range of outdoor activities such as walking and cycling. Moreover, the area benefits from a plethora of sports, drama and arts clubs catering to both children and adults. Beech Fields is a popular weekend haunt for families during the summer months and Timperley Cricket Club regularly runs family days and sports camps for children.
